Using AI for studying: the 10-minute routine

Studying is tiring. Sometimes you read a page and nothing sticks. AI can help you lock things into your head. I'll show you a quick 10-minute routine to do before you close the book. Simple and repeatable every day.

Why 10 minutes is enough

You don't need hours in front of the AI. You need to use it well at the right moment. The end of a study session is that moment. You've just read, things are fresh. With a few prompts you lock them in better. That's how using AI for studying becomes a short habit, not another burden.

Minute 1-3: the guided summary

Open the AI and paste your notes or the text. Then write:

Read the 5 points. If one doesn't click, that's a gap. You just found what to review in 30 seconds.

Minute 4-6: the surprise questions

Now you get tested. Ask the AI:

Answer out loud or in your head. This is the real trick: recalling is stronger than re-reading. You train like for an exam.

Minute 7-8: you explain to the AI

Now flip the roles. Explain the topic to the AI in your own words and ask:

If you can explain it, you really know it. If you get stuck, you know where to go back.

Minute 9-10: the memory trick

Finish with a memory helper:

A small mental hook and you'll remember it tomorrow. Ten minutes is all it takes.

One tip to stay safe

AI sometimes makes things up. For dates, names, and numbers, always check the book. Use it to understand and review, not as the only source of truth. It helps you study, but the book stays the boss.
