Learn how to use AI: 7 mistakes to avoid
Learning to learn how to use AI is easy. But at the start everyone makes the same mistakes. Then they think "it's not for me". Not true. Here are the 7 most common mistakes and how to avoid them right away.
Mistake 1: asking in a way that's too vague
You write "tell me about marketing" and get a useless wall of text. The AI doesn't know what you need. Be specific: "Give me 3 post ideas for my café page, cheerful tone." The more detail you give, the better it answers.
Mistake 2: giving up on the first answer
The first answer is almost never perfect. Many read it, frown, and close. Wrong. Reply: "Shorter", "Change the tone", "Give an example". It fixes itself in two lines.
Mistake 3: not saying who you are
The AI doesn't know you. Tell it. "I'm a beautician", "I write to older clients", "I sell homemade cakes". With the right context the answer becomes tailored to you.
Mistake 4: trusting numbers and dates without checking
The AI sometimes gets dates, prices and names wrong. For ideas and text it's great. For exact facts, always check. This is a golden rule to learn how to use AI without nasty surprises.
Mistake 5: writing it all in one block
A huge single request confuses it. Better in pieces:
- First: "Give me the outline."
- Then: "Now write the first point."
- Then: "Make it simpler."
One step at a time works better.
Mistake 6: copy-pasting without reading
Never send a text you haven't read. Sometimes the AI adds odd things or a tone that isn't yours. Read it, change two words, make it yours. It takes 30 seconds.
Mistake 7: not saving what works
Found a magic phrase? Save it. Many use it once and lose it. Keep a note with your best phrases. That's how you really learn.
